Amman Airport Hotel ★★★★

Near to the airport for our flight the next morning. Free shuttle bus.

We had an amazing stay in Jordan and booked the airport hotel prior to flying home. Well, there was nothing ‘super deluxe’ for the extra price we paid for our room. Room had clearly been given a quick whip round to clean. Cups were still dirty, curtain was hanging off. The pool was closed (we arrived at 4pm hoping for a swim as per the pics, but were told it had already closed). The whole hotel generally had an odd, depressing, half-closed up vibe. Some basics might have cheered us up slightly - some natural light, along with at least a decent cup of coffee at breakfast instead of the sachets (no staff around and not one clean table to pick from, despite it just being us and one other group in there). Basically, feel like we paid quite a lot of money and were mis-sold. On the plus side, the bed was fine despite the thin sheet, the staff were friendly and it was at least handy for the airport!

The location for an early departure next day is perfect, and the hotel shuttle was very good.

Looks unloved and rather ashamed of itself. Staff sullen and unhelpful. Decor is tired and 3rd floor lift lobby positively grubby. Only one restaurant open, and that had all the charm of an aircraft hanger. Despite several conversations with desk staff about eating arrangements, none mentioned that we had to buy a voucher at the front desk to use the buffet. There was no bread provided, until asked for three times by us and other diners. The room was OK but the shower was falling apart, and proper water pressure only available on the highest temperatures (I would say dangerously hot). Gym and pool facilities chained up, and no bar.

Left too early to try breakfast so it may have been brilliant. Proximity to the airport is unbeatable.

The bathroom was tiny but reasonably clean and well stocked with basics but the bathroom bin had not been emptied and was full from previous guest/guests which made the whole bathroom smell terrible. Left before breakfast. Evening meal options poor. Quality of food not great. I believe it is the only airport hotel so again, options limited. Connecting door was unlocked meaning strangers could have entered but as we checked it and realised, a manager quickly locked it. Security lapse!

Was not clean enough in the room and other area of the facility. Also wasn’t maintained as well! Found too many stain in the carpet at the corridors! The key card did not work and it took me three times to go back to the desk to redo it but failed to open the room door.

This hotel has a monopoly based upon the location alone. The bed was very comfortable. The shuttle to the airport was fast!

The room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, some of the communal areas were filthy, the window was filthy, so much so they had two curtains closed over it in the daytime. The staff are doing a bare minimum job, especially in the buffet restaurant. It was as if they are government employees with jobs for life. It is a charmless experience you just need to ‘grin and bare it’ through.

The Amman airport hotel is very convenient if you need a place to stay close to the airport.

The room was very expensive for a simple/plain hotel room. The food options are also really pricey and the dining areas/cafes are quite unappealing. Luckily we had a car so ended up having dinner elsewhere. We were told the breakfast started at 6:00, to then find out it in the morning that was at 6:30 - if you have an early morning flight to catch, then it’s not ideal!

The only thing I liked is that the bed was confortable and the bedsheet was clean. Breakfast was OK but after 10 days in Jordan I am so disappointed with instant Nescafe instead of real coffee...

For the price I paid (96 JOD) I feel like I got scammed. You say on you website it is luxurious and high quality. In reality this place looks like did not have renovated since 1970. I had to use my own towel. My toilet was not cleaned (I saw pubic hair on the toilet seat before I entered!!!). There was no hot water in the shower, only lukewarm. The window is walled in, no way to open, why? Stains on the carpet. One of the lamps had broken wire, it did not work. I am not sure my room was closed at night because I turned the lock two times and I could still open the door.

I liked the location.

1- I told them I wanted to go to the airport 7:30 am. So they told me to come down and check out at 7:20 am since the airport is 5 minutes away. I did that but when I got there, it took 30 minutes for them to bring me a shuttle ????‍️ 2- they don’t have cribs for babies. My baby had to sleep with me on the bed. It kept me up all night. 3- food there is below average for the price you pay for the room
